I'm new to DFW area. (from tampa fl)
Parked at McCord Park in Little Elm and walked Cottonwood branch down to the witt road bridge...
Only saw a few fingerling bass and turtles...
Is there a better place to go or should I go back and continue it down towards the lake?

Gaza Dam is always a good place to start. If you get there early enough walk all the way to the end of the dam and fish the deep water. I have a boat but when the wind is too high I've always had luck catching everything from cats to crappie depending on the bait.

Man never knows precisely what is right. So torn between purpose and doubt, he first builds windows to let the light in then hangs curtains to shut it out.

From reading the forums... for Lewisville, its most likely hickory creek.. was gonna go there tomorrow but unsure if I could get anywhere without waders..
Guess I'll go check it out.
Hopefully it isnt too mucked up by the rain.
