Osprey Top Hook 4" Tournament Swimbait I like using these during this time of year. I swim them around docks, pads, and any sort of cover I can find. I've been using these for a long time and have caught numerous 6+ pounders. It has a nice, soft body with killer action. While the plastic is soft, it's still durable enough to handle multiple fish. The best thing about this bait is that it falls nose down, like a real bluegill! It's a great bait to have in your arsenal this time of year.

I bought an H2O brand one at Academy a month ago. It is a jointed hard plastic with two treble hooks. I've not thrown it a ton, but I caught a two pounder on it the first day I tried it out. This is the extent of my knowledge of this type of bait, but I want to learn more, so I thought I'd buy one and give it a shot. I think it was $4.99.

Mattlures, Got em coach, deps, black dog bait co., huddleston. all make great gills and theres a fairly wide price gap with them. mattlures or got em coach is probably your cheapest user friendly bait.
