Has anyone had success with this type of rig? If so what did you use as the weight for the head? Finishing nail....etc?? I've seen some screw in weight heads but looks like that could get expensive losing them.

I use finishing nails clipped off at various lengths for various weights. Put one into each end of the Senko for balance and straight drops.

I clip the hooks off of crappie jig heads, where the hook begins to bend. Then I superglue the in the end of my neko rig worms. I usually prep 10 or 15 if I know I'm going to be using that technique that day. You can get a little box of 20 or so cheap crappie jigs for a dollar or two.

I've used 1" finishing nails, Zoom trick worms and Gamakatsu 3/0 wicked wacky hooks. It makes the rig pretty weedless. Pull into the hookset, don't snap it. It's fishes like a super light shaky head. My guess is it would be killer for bed fishing. wink

Both great ideas there. Definitely going to give them both a try.

Try a crappie jig head, cut the hook part off, then stab this in the head part of worm... Then take a chrome small spinner and stab it in the tail... Then side hook the middle with a weedless hook.... Drops straight down the side of a stump or where ever you want to throw it.. Flashy and different... Thank me later.
