It's the right hook that makes the difference! So simple to tie and really works on bass in that thick cover!

I have enjoyed watching the evolution of the froggy fly. Thank you.

I'm tying up another even simpler crease fold-over fly right now. Testing revealed some needed tweaks and I want the fly to be a faster tie too.. The bass just absolutely inhale this fly!

I too have followed, tied and caught lots of bass on several versions of the froggy fly. I caught my biggest bass on the fly rod with a froggy fly. I'm looking forward to the video as well. My favorite is still the Easy Froggy tie. I like the way it splits the legs and keeps them apart.

Yeah; I love all his videos; fly tying and fly fishing. I enjoy his photos of wildlife he runs across fishing; also the fact that he ties flies that catch fish-p-

Great pattern... got to test out the Froggy Fly and caught three Bass in short order! Used a circle hook instead of the recommended weedless one. Also, used craft fur instead of deer hair. Had to use what we had on hand. Else, next round, will go with the recommended material. Today's Video.

Only one small criticism. If you can even call it that. I'd much rather hear you talk about the fly as you tie rather than have music playing. Mist of the videos I come across where music is playing, I close out and find another one to watch. Since it was your video, I watched it, but I did mute the music. Other than that, awesome video.
