I am not looking for honey-holes, just looking for some ideas as to where to get a day in fishing white bass around Kerrville area. I have a kayak to use, so i am wondering what lakes/rivers around the area i should focus on or that the run is started or will start after Easter. Thanks for any help yall can give!!!

Nothing close, Buchanan or Canyon lake are the closest. I have caught four small ones and one 14" on Neminz lake in Kerrville. IT's the lake behind Chillies and the Lakehouse restaurants. They are far and few between.

You have a kayak..go to Medina Lake.It is coming back to life finally..Whites are starting to bite good around the dam wall and rocks..Fish are nice size with smaller ones mixed in with some good stripers. It's been a long time.lake is about 62℅ full.. From Kerrville go to Bandera to Pipe Creek follow signs from there..

I would forget the sandbass and fish the Guadalupe in kerrville for some of those giant black bass and crappie that live there year round. I caught several in the 8 pound range in the stretch where that boat ramp is, on the lower end near the southern edge of town. Can't remember what they call it. The bank opposite of the boat ramp has a dock that is loaded with brush (this was about 8 years ago, assume it's still there.) and loaded with crappie. I was told that the local bass club released several big bass in that stretch over the years.

What you describe sounds like Flatrock lake. There is a dock across from the Flatrock park boat ramp. That dock is at the City Schriener park. The lake has a lot of cover and I've several nice bass there. Loop 534 will take you to it.
