Been catching so many big crappie everyday and almost all of them are big ones. The stripers are just about jumping out of the water. The big old black bass are everywhere. About time.

Was there last week 3 guide boats in same area,they were not catching nodda.kids had the binoculars on them the whole time.was also there yesterday got a few.I would hardly say it is on fire.sounds like someone is trying to get people to move over from the river to the main lake.I fish whitney 3x week,I would know if it was on fire.

Op lives in Venus I am baffled he lives that close to Joe pool and doesn't know they are knocking them dead there.4 lake records in the past week.all records were buy the all American visually impaired fisherman of North Texas club.

We had friends camping at Loafers West all last week , and they fished our slip @ Harbor Master. We caught well over 50 crappie on the weekend. we do have our slip baited out with bamboo though. Clay with Real Deal Striper Guide cleans and brings his fish in at Harbor Master. We would watch him limit out every day. Just go to his web site and look at them ! Sorry if you aren't catching any. As far as the north end , our neighbors have a slip at Juniper Cove that is also baited out and they have been limited out also. I am going to take all the guys that work for me down to my slip Thursday to fish. Total of 6 off us. I will let you no and take a few pictures. Was just trying to say we are catching a lot of good fish , sorry you all are not.

cnr why would I go to Joe Pool when I have a beautiful lake house at Whitney. I did not try to start anything as to all of this. We have over the last 8 years tried very hard to fix or place up , and have a lot of time and money poured into our slip. We have ours baited out with a lot of bamboo in 5 gallon buckets. The crappie just in the last 3 weeks are starting to come in. Our neighbors in the slips are catching them as well. Good luck to all here. And we are catching them all on minnows , as I have my own minnow vat @ the lake house. We are catching them about 7 to 8 ft. over the top of the bamboo. A lot of people do not like big minnows , but when ever I do have to re stock my minnows I always stop at the Bait Bucket in Rio Vista and buy her large minnows. As per Juniper Cove they are catching 90 per cent of them on Bobby Garland Monkey Milk jigs. Hope this helps.
