Humminbird 360 is broke. Gets really hot and is popping fuses. The I pilot link remote for the trolling motor is not charging. Cable has power going through it. You'd think that the remote would work when plugged in but either the power port on my remote is fubar or they run strictly off the battery.

Is the little red light on the remote coming on to indicate that it is charging?
Make sure the charging terminals on the remote are clean. Dirt and debris can easily get stuck in there. 5.2 volts is what should be coming off the charging plug.

Might be the battery on the remote. Remove the back cover and remove battery and reconnect the battery and see if that has any affect. Had to do this to mine once

Checked the cable. 5.2 volts coming through. I've pulled the battery and reconnected it that didn't help either.

It was a bad cable. For some reason it wasn't making good contact with the internal connector. If I pulled down on the connector it would charge.
