I went last week and hit every spot I know. No fish on humps or structure, they are up the creeks as of last week! I talked to a guide and he said the same thing. Next week or so things should start getting back to normal!what a difference just a day can make with these type fish!

Thanks

Last Friday I fished points around Star Harbor and then even kayaked to the other side to fish points and channels. Three hours later and not a strike. Lots of shad and lots of carp rolling on the surface. A few small black bass chasing shad. Not sure what we are missing and where they are right now!

They are still in the creeks, my two sons have been catching sand bass and nice hybrids in Kings creek for about a month now. Just this week they started catching hybrids. I don't recall in years past them staying in the creeks this long!

I had the same results off Key Ranch North, South, Merrimac, and Long Ridge. Plenty of shad though! Did talk to some guys that picked up about 8 trolling around the dam humps.

I'm having the same result out on main lake. Fished 6 hours yesterday and caught 6 keepers. Saw Snaggin Steve and he was having same result. IMHO it is combination of stained water due to rains and high winds and many fish still being up the creeks.

Wish I'd have seen this post before I went out last night to hit the docks. Caught one little sand bass. Maybe all the trucks parked at King's Creek when I crossed it should have been a sign too. Couple more weeks I guess.......

Quick report. Went out in the Clear Creek arm of the lake from 4:30 to 7:30 PM today and caught 63: 47 white bass to 16 inches and 16 short hybrids. So, it looks like they are coming back into the lake. AND caught most of them on surface schooling action in 8 to 12 fow.!
