I almost never intentionally target carp but I have some kids I want to take and bank fish with and want a good chance at catching something a little bit on the big side. I don't know the normal process carp do during the year, I always assumed they slowed down and don't bite much in the winter. If this is true, are they likely to be biting again, or still not warm enough?

they should be biting ,chum with sweet corn and fish where you chummed , sometimes it takes some time for them to come in so if you chum good the day before and re chum when you get there you should get bit .or you could mix cream corn mixed with oatmeal packed into baseball size balls and throw them out by hand if you dont have chumming tools .use carolina style rig with a few kernals of corn on the hook
