Can someone tell me a good pier or place to catch trout, flounder, and redfish near Katy Texas. I would prefer to be near Freeport but if I catch fish willing to drive around 2 hours.

I'm going to Galveston Fishing Pier in the morning. You can catch just about everything right now.

I love the Galveston Fishing Pier. I drive down from the Denton area to fish it a few times a year.

Like the other man said, pretty much anything. I used squid, on a number 6 treble hook. I use a double drop rig, and I catch croaker, whiting, gafftop, occasionally a little bitty shark under 3 foot. Now if you go to the end on the T, those guys tend to be more big game rather than just numbers. They go for the big sharks, and big bull reds, but may sit there for hour before they get their one big fish.
