Cowling, console, trolling motor, etc. Or you can use the jaws clamp and move around as you'd like. Most will use the console to mount so they can also run direct power. If you're looking for POV you can use hat clip or chesty mount for more immersive footage. Here's another option if you're wanting full view and you're fishing alone a lot.

I use the sticky mounts have 1 on the top of the cowling and one on the drivers console. I have ran my boat 70+ with the cowling sticky mount, but I take it off in rough water.

We use a painting pole in the back seat hole. We extend the pole up about 8 ft and angle it down. It gives a nice overhead view of the entire boat and doesn't show more than a few feet off the boat to keep our "spots" a secret. We also put a clamp mount on the trolling motor cable and another one on the steering wheel.

That boat pole is a good product.

I use two suction cup mounts for my ions.I Have one facing the deck mounted on the console windshield and the other right next to it facing the back deck. It gets me both angles. Also, if you have a lighter plug by your console then go get a two usb plug for it and power up both units all day without worrying about battery.
