Starting
Saturday March 19: winds 25mph --- fishing was horrible in Housen. We saw 3 fish, small buck bass, caught all day long. Boats everywhere, thought I was at the Mega Bass on Fork

Sorry for the bad experience. Next time it will be better. I bet all that water being sucked out of there has the fish confused. First it floods then it has the plug pulled.

Move around until you find the cleanest water. 3/4 ounce spinnerbaits on the outside of the haygrass, texas rigged black and blue Talon repro craws, and jigs as shallow as you could get close to cover were working last weekend. Backs of the creeks.

There are still fish that are biting. 28+ to win the V&M tournament yesterday. Housen has absolutely taken a beating, 7 days a week, for the last 4 weeks.

This right here but I still been told several 30 plus bags still coming out of that area. I know a 35lb bag was caught Thursday with a 11.2 kicker

I know it is just me .......
For all those saying to fish the haygrass,,,, that is exactly what we did.
& I bought my first V&M baits at the Fin & Feather store,,,,,Black N Blue jig w/ B/B Talon craws.
I do listen,,,,,just can't catch fish. I am not complaining because fishing is fun. Just saying......
it's me. Ask those guides I have been with,,,,,,,I am just like a "cooler" at the BJ table or a Poker game. We are going to find them.

Guys get caught up in the housen, Indian mounds, six mile talk.....I agree those are good areas but I assure you, there are tons of good places on that lake. Try getting away from those community areas. Everyone's fishing shallow so many of the banks in community holes have been beat up. Try the Louisiana side or even up north. All the major creeks have loads of fish, even if it's muddy. Those fish don't care up there.
