I want nothing more to do with those guys. We used to seine creeks around college station for bait and had more than a few run ins. They are mean, nasty and tell you about it.

Awesome picture! I saw one that had a shell close to 4' from front to back and told my dad that I would like to catch one and see it up close. Luckily the one that we caught was not as big as the one that we saw. That looks like about a 60+ lb turtle. Great trophy picture. Did you retrieve your hook?
