New to the forum and this is my first post. Buddy of mine and I went to try our hand at gigging flounder last night out near Pt Lavaca Area. Needless to say it was a complete failure, but hey it happens. Doing a bit of research and as it turns out seems the conditions really weren't ideal. Plan on going to Port O'Connor or Rockport area next time. Any good spots accessible by car would be ideal considering we don't own a boat. Really hope some of the more experienced anglers will be able to lend some insight on what to look for as far as conditions, tips and such.
