OP Hittmanfish Angler H Joined: May 2014 Posts: 394 Arlington	Hi everyone. I'm headed out east to Lake Tawakoni this weekend for the first time. We are going to be staying near Arm Point Park. I only have a 16' Jon Boat with a 25 Johnson, so I don't think I'll be able to venture into the big part of the lake... have y'all been having any luck in the northern part of the lake catching catfish or sandies/hybrids? Any advice is appreciated! Madison Hitt

kodys'papa TFF Guru K Joined: Jul 2005 Posts: 17,845 Tawakoni/Mogote, CO.	No need to set jugs out deeper than 14 or 15 feet. Bring your net, shad have been shallow. You should catch some fish. Our cove on the north side is 5 feet deep and we have had blues and channels in the cove. Fresh shad is best and drum, buffalo, carp,work great on the jug if you happen across any Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach
