not only are we having bedding gills, but also bug hatches which just made up for all the little fish...I love them hitting the Adams style flies,,, I love NOT being in a boat right now LOL. I love the color of these long ear, wish I could have taken all their pics...about 2 dozen in all Red Ear, Long Ear, and gills along with 8 Bass but NO Guads and that is what Im looking for right now.

Side Note: I have always nailed some super nice Bluegill during the Mayfly hatches. hooked There are usually several hatches a year. eeks The first coming around late April or early May. coolio

I hear ya Kent. Had a super early hatch up here also. Was not planning on fishing topwater, but did catch a few on a size 03 Floating Rapala Minnow. Missed a whole lot more since I was not properly equipped, but it sure was fun seeing them knock that plug into the air. If I had had my glass rod and/or my Rebel Crickhoppers, I think I could have caught quite a few more. Good on ya with the fly rod. Stubbornly sticking to my UL rigs.
