Looking to buy a 4 blade prop for my 2001 Triton w/ 225 vmax. Anyone have information on the pro's/con's and which prop to buy? Wanting the 4 blade to help with control in rough water..

I have a Mercury Revolution 4 and think it's awesome! I have a 97 Nitro 18 foot bass boat.Like night and day compared to props I've had.Excellent hole shot, strong mid range performance...biggest thing I like is I can stay on plane at a much slower speed.

I have a fresh Trophy Plus 25 pitch 4 blade that was just B&B at Propeller Warehouse in Longview. You would just need a Flo-Tork hub kit for a Yamaha. $275 shipped or $250 picked up at Lake Fork.

Thanks y'all. How much of a difference do you think it makes in rough water? My Tr20 beats me to death, but i've also heard that a lot about the 2001's...

Do you have a hydraulic jackplate? If not buy that first.

IMO: Every bassboat should come standard with a hydraulic jackplate, hotfoot and recessed trolling motor tray.

A 4 blade will hold the boat better in rough water than a 3 blade. I don't know if it will cure your rough ride, but it will help.
