Wondering if stripers and reds hit flies at these lakes. Been yak fishing those lakes for years and have never seen a fly rod anywhere.

Just a matter of getting the right fly down to where the fish are. I know that sounds easier said than done. But really, that's the entire story as far as them hitting the flies.
On Texoma, it can be a matter of using lead core shooting heads to get the fly 30' or deeper, to where the stripers are running.

I fly fish for them from the wall pretty frequently. Basically throw big shad pattern flies out as far as possible with a sink tip or full sink line, and let it sink to 10-15 feet, and retrieve
