Is there anywhere else to launch a kayak in the Nolan other than Buddy Stewart park in Cleburne

The west side of the Nolan just above the 67 bridge is a good place to launch. There is an actual boat ramp there just above the bridge and it isn't too far from parking to the water. No charge.
Look at Google maps.
People fish all along the banks above the 67 bridge there for Crappie and Sandys

If you decide to go up river there is a sign hung across the river that says "No trespassing". You can ignore that.
And above that there is an old man that may try to tell you he owns the river. You can ignore him too. Somebody should file a complaint against him but he is otherwise harmless. The river there is like 100 yards wide there, so he should be easy enough to avoid.
Up river just over a mile from launch you will come to a small bridge. People can access the river from that bridge area so you might see somebody on the bank. And not to far above there you will have to drag between pools. Last time I was there there were lots of good Sandys in those pools.

Thanks for the advice I was hoping for another place than the 67 bridge as it gets pretty crowded on the weekend.

What do you guys think about putting in at Nolan River Park near the Brazos? I'm looking at going this weekend and was wondering where the best place is to catch sandies and crappie.

I was looking at that on a map today. I have never been to that park but I know a lot of people fish that section of the Nolan for sandies.
