Just curious if anyone can shed any experienced they have had fishing below the PK dam. I have seen/heard from people that fly fish there successfully, but curious about conventional tackle or any tips and advice.

Right now the second and third bends are producing on lures and live bait. Brim work good .Bout a quarter mile past 16 bridge to a mile down

What about fishing right at the base of the dam...upstream of 16? Not necessarily looking for recent reports, just generalities and what to expect. Would be banking/wading.

Thats what we are hoping for. Just have never fished all the way up at the dam, mostly downstream from 16.

I've done good fishing below the dam wading the deep holes and throwing top waters. Also casting as far as you can towards the wall.

Spooks, swimbaits, rooster tails, spoons/slabs, big jigs... anything you'd usually use somewhere else.
