Fishing with a buddy Friday and trying to decide between Cypress and Palestine. I know Palestine is a mud hole right now and some of the ramps are closed. How is the water level and clarity at Cypress? Are the ramps open? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You,
Brian

The Club fished Cypress last Saturday. Water is falling and heavily stained in some areas but not too bad in others. LOTS of fish caught! 5 fish weighed between 6.73 and 9.02. 40 of 44 teams weighed fish. Go to Cypress. The fish are biting. Here are a couple examples

I'm relatively new here. Cypress is my old home lake and I believe there is always fish to be caught there. My favorite lake.
But I'm curious why I don't hear much of Bob Sandlin on here. That lake is also full of giant bass. It's an awesome fishery. I had a house on Cypress which his why I fished it so much. But I also spent a lot of time on Bob Sandlin and had some great success there too. Since they killed all the hydrilla on cypress I would probably opt for Bob Sandlin if I were planning a weekend trip. JMO.

Water was pretty muddy in most parts like all other lakes. 17+ won it with not many big fish biting, but most everyone had a limit of fish

go WAY up north in Palestine...some of the pockets don't have creeks in them and you can find clear water. I agree with the guys above...Cypress and Sandlin even dirty, would be fun to fish.

Parents have the RV's next to Tall Tree Marina. Closest dock to tall tree. Comfortable little spot to go hide for the weekend!

Ronnie how is the 21i doing? Loving it! Ran 76 the other morning alone, headed up to the river on Ray Hubbard. Didn't even realize it was moving that fast!
