I've got a 96 procraft. Takes care of me just fine, it's a tank. Just keep up on annual preventative maintenance.

Solid boats from what I have researched. Not speed demons, but good solid fishing platform.

Uncle had an 80s model and it was a nice boat. Had to have the deck replaced sometime in the 90s. I remember because we got to Livingston and found out he just took his boat to the shop. Had to spend our fishing days in his jonboat.
Guy who did my interior said its not a matter of if you will have a rotten deck it's a matter of when with PC. He had a Procraft in his shop with a rotten deck to show me. Not sure how many actually have that problem but I know of at least 2.

Bought my 180Bass/150 merc in '97. Still going strong, with normal maintenance. Recommend.

I've had 2 procrafts over the years and they were both excellent boats. One was a 1990 fish and ski and the other was a 1996 18' bass boat. Both are still excellent boats and still on the water today.

My boats never ever have me any trouble like deck replacements or stuff like that. I'm sure the boat you're looking at will be just fine.

If it checks out and you counter with a lower figure to see if he'll drop the price, I would jump all over it. That is a good deal.

I have a 95 210 pro with a 200 merc XRI. 21 years and still going strong. The Merc has been replaced (around 2004) and the carpet twice now, but the hull is good and electrical has been solid. It is a tank. It topped out a 70 back in the day, but I don't run it that hard anymore.

Pretty bold assessment of a rig you've never laid eyes on.

I briefly owned a PC back in the early 90's and I have had several buddy's who have owned them as well, some still own them. This is what I would look for:

1) All used performance boats should be checked out by an authorized marine mechanic at best or a thorough lake test at the very least, if the owner refuses either then walk away. 2) That said, eliminate the obvious by checking for any stress cracks in the hull and transom, and look closely at the cap attachment for any signs of separation or warping, if you see any of these then walk. 3) Check the entire trailer including the tongue (especially if its a break-a-way) for any signs of abnormal wear, twist or structural failures. PC had some issues with under trailering some of their models that caused problems but probably not with the model you describe tho, but check the trailer never the less, including lights. 4) Check all lights, pumps, tilt, switches and gauges to make sure everything works, small things shouldn't be a game changer but it will give you an idea of what might need to be taken care of post sale.

PC made some pretty good rides but like everyone else they had their issues to, my brother had a 210 SP DC for a couple of years back in 2003 and it was a great platform that had a pretty good ride, a little wet but it handled well.

I owned a Pro Craft for several years and sold it a couple of years ago to buy a pontoon boat. I loved my PC. It was a 95 model and had fiberglass decking so I never had the rotting issues like someone mentioned. My boat was always garage kept with a cover on it. The carpet looked new when I sold it in 2014. Mine had the 200 Merc XRI.....best engine Merc ever made IMO. It was a heavy boat but it handled very well and took rough water very well. I wouldn't hesitate to own another PC.

If it ain't yours don't mess with it!

Is that a 19' boat with a 150 (192)? If so it is underpowered.

I think they are deep boats with good rides. I think for $12.5K you can get a better boat.

Advice? Wise men don't need it. Fools won't heed it.

The guy didn't ask for a mile long pre-sale check list. He asked for some opinions on ProCraft.
