Take it out and add a Radio! Remember to plug the pitiot on the stern that is blocked with small wood chunks or just trash.

There is a small hole right above the bullet on lower unit I think like a 9/32 drill bit size. Twist in by hand of course will usually clean the trash out of it. Like others have said if you are looking for accuracy then use the GPS.

A straightened fish hook also works good to get the trash out. I hit a floater on Texoma once and had to use the drill bit with the drill
