We fished with Jigs and Minnows under a slip cork Saturday & today. Today was tough with the high winds. Managed a pretty good mess of crappie fishing mid lake coves. Will post pictures of the crappie in the morning when I clean them. I know this is the crappie section but.... We landed this 8 lb, 13 oz toad about 5:30 Saturday evening. Fun fight on minnow, foot and half under a float, about 8 ft of line out... It went to about 50 ft of line real quick, had to chase with the TM. Landed on Pro Angler rod, 6 lb hi-vis Wally Marshall mono and Aberdeen crappie hook. Not a ditch pickle fisherman, but this certainly put some excitement in the boat.

I bet that was fun.
Downside is you are likely to get hate PM's from the Bass guys. I blackened a big LM Bass last summer I caught at night on minnows it was very good.
