Where are you having luck catching them? I tried the creek south of Loyd's Park the other day, but no luck.

What are ya'll throwing? I hit JP with a buddy on Saturday and didn't catch a blessed thing! We could only see bass feeding IN the woods and we just couldn't throw to them they were too deep in the trees...I tried a watermelon red fluke, 3/8 oz. chartreuse spinner, white/white 1/4 oz. buzz, and an orange-yellow-green 2-4' square bill crank with rattle. My buddy tried a red-white/red chatter, and swimmin' frog. we tried fishing over in one of the east shore coves between the Lynn Creek Causeway and the powerlines, and tried a couple of the run-off creeks next to the Lloyd Park ramp...nothing

Went out today, I caught a 7.93Lb and my buddy caught a 6.5-7. And I lost a 6-7 at the boat today and my brother lost a giant as well. You could say she's got some life in her right now.

Any recommendations on punching through the trees, to get back into the woods? obviously the boat won't get back in there, would a 1 oz. Carolina rig on HEAVY braid get me there and back?

Your boat will get you back there. I did it all the time last year when it was flooded like this. Trim up the motor...set the tm to just skim under the surface....and go. I went for the dam to the first five to the west in a straight shot. It was deep enough to float. Caught a bunch of good ones.

I didn't catch anything out there yesterday, it was rough to say the least with all that wind. I'm terrible with remembering names, but there was a great guy at the ramp yesterday that helped me get situated as I was fighting the wind loading up the boat, it was great to meet you and we had a good conversation about the lake. The water on the main lake and any of the coves on the east side of the lack are extremely dirty and there is no grass (which that really sucks). Looks like you guys where fishing the marina which is a good area but gets alot of pressure and a lot of boat traffic, so I don't fish there often.
I fished the two points SW of the dam like Steez mentioned, the water looked good but I couldn't get a bite. I mostly flipped a jig, a T -rig worm and threw a chatterbait & buzzbait, it was too windy for my liking to stick with a weightless senko or fluke.
I prefer to fish off -shore out there, but it wasn't happening with that wind yesterday.
