I have a 2002 VMax 200 hp on my 2002 Skeeter SL 210. I have owned this boat for 4 years and it has always started on the first try. Yesterday it started at the ramp just fine. When I tried to restart the next time that morning it wouldn't start. I had to start it with full throttle in neutral for the rest of the day. It ran fine once I got it started. I replaced fuel filter and plugs about 2 years ago.
Any suggestions?? Could it be the low pressure fuel pump?

Any help would be appreciated.

I replace my plugs a couple times a year. My motor recently started doing this. I couldn't figure out why at the ramp it was so easy and after that it was a coin flip whether it would ever start but once it did it ran perfect. The 2nd time it left me stranded on the lake I finally took it to a mechanic. He first found fuel leaks and fixed them and then found a bad power pack. Now it starts easier than ever.

Thanks for the help. I will check for fuel leaks this weekend and replace the plugs. If that doesn't work I'll get the power pack checked out.

Check the primer bulb. I've had a few go out. Also had a fuel pump relay go out, but then it wouldn't run at all.

3 new low pressure fuel pumps and it starts as good as new. Thanks for the help.
