Kept 6 in an hour behind the house this morning, fresh dead shad... Going again this evening

Yep same here. Caught them from the bank and off the pier. 5-15fow and could only get bit on fresh shad. Also caught a hybrid, several sandbass, and a couple crappie! Fishing is starting to heat up a little

Where do ya recommend to bank fish on tawakoni? I'm taking my nine year old tomorrow and would appreciate any tips I can get!

Sounds like there is good fishing at Kody's papa's house.

I'm on the south side of the lake and there have been plenty of bank fishing going on around the bridges/boat ramps. If you don't mid paying a fee there are lots of places like the state park, sky point....just try and find you some fresh shad

I am north of the bridge close to the city park in west tawakoni. Shad were easy in 5 feet of water today...

Agree, been putting out jugs in 5-10 ft and night time is it, for Channels. and blues. more rain coming maybe, so time to get in the shallows and in the creeks.
