You can try fishing for some eater size fish. Lots of smaller fish are in the warm shallows. Lots of male fish there ahead of the females too. Try baiting a spot for several days with soured grain and / or cattle cubes. Then get after them with some dip bait or good cheese dough bait under a slip cork about 18" to 2 ft deep. If you can find a place with some structure that is a good spot to hold fish, logs, brush, rocks etc. Blues like baited holes too. They come in to gorge on smaller bait fish this time of year.

I'm gonna definitely do that for days I can't find them...I'm gonna bait the north edge of stick island...I used to sour maize and range cubes for chum in the past for channel cats. throw it in a burlap or onion sack for timed release?... Thanks
