Hummingbird released the 2.7 software for the Onix that adds chirp to the unit.
Last week I downloaded the software and installed it on my unit.
The clarity of the unit now is unbelievable. Much better separation on bait balls.
If ya got a Onix install this update.

Good to know. I have it downloaded to the SD card but have not installed. I had previously been informed it was not that big of an upgrade. Do you have any screenshots we could see?

I have an Internet bud that has an Onix and he said the new update was awesome! Finally made his graph work like it was supposed to.

I have an Internet bud that has an Onix and he said the new update was awesome! Finally made his graph work like it was supposed to. Good to hear. I don't have any complaints so far, but better is better!

it was a fairly large update and fixed a lot of issues and they should run a lot better now. Not sure if they fixed the fish id problems yet

HB instructions say to go to default settings to download new software. Is there a away to save your current settings?

HB instructions say to go to default settings to download new software. Is there a away to save your current settings? Yes Put a memory card in the unit, go to the Files folder, Export/Menu Settings. After you do the Default setting AFTER the update, go to the same Files folder, and Import/Menu Settings

I loaded the 2.700 in the unit today. There was another file that appeared you could select to load as well. What would that be for? I did not load it.

I loaded the 2.700 in the unit today. There was another file that appeared you could select to load as well. What would that be for? I did not load it. If you read the software release description, it shows there are seven files. One for the unit and six for accessories. If you have any of those accessories that you have not loaded, that is your chance add the one/s you need.
