It's a rhetorical question that doesn't require a reply, but if you feel compelled, have at it.


Legit ID requires a fisheries biologist with a microscope to tell exactly what it is and how much % of which species and strain.

By appearance looks like a florida largemouth who's great great grand-daddy had a little fun with a spot one weekend. Whatever the case, thats a nice healthy bass.

Hard to really come to a conclusion! The best me and my buddy could figure is that maybe it's a hybrid black bass. never seen a largemouth with a mouth like that, and never seen a spot with a body like that.. Thanks for the input guys.

That definitely has the characteristics of both. There is a lake where smallies and spots are also cross breeding. Can't remember if I read that on here or a magazine or what. I am sure it happens in any lake with both but only one was mentioned in the article or post. I can't remember the lake though.
