Caught this Bass on Ray Roberts today. Has the mouth of a Spotted Bass, but the body of a Largemouth. What do y'all think?

The mouth on it definitely looks like a spot mouth

I'm gonna definitely have to get back to ya Houston. Preliminary observation is largemouth, but with a spot mouth...?? Definitely a mixed breed.

I bet it has stitch's under its lower jaw. The eyes well in front of the jaw line, large mouth markings = spot - large mouth cross. We used to see plenty of them at Alan Henry. Now we see 90% spots.

If that's a LMB it has a deformed mouth boys. Look at how small the bottom jaw is. No way that extends beyond the eye when closed.

It looks more LM than spot to me but I don't feel solid about either.

I think you've caught yet another of the infamous Ray Bob hybrid black basses.

**I'm just curious - and don't get instantly defensive please - but I wonder how many of you know how to legitimately identify a LMB vs a spot and how many are just guessing.**

It's a rhetorical question that doesn't require a reply, but if you feel compelled, have at it.
