Anybody know if Jacksonville is open or not before I make the drive in the morning? My home lake Tyler is closed this weekend and I need to get my fishing fix for the weekend.

I don't know for sure, Tony, but according to the USGS website Jacksonville is only about 5 inches above normal. I would think it would be fine.

Thanks Tom I'd rather be checking out Palestine but think I will wait til later in the week. Yep I checked out lake level and didn't figure it would be closed. I was either headed to Jville or Bellwood.

Water had the restaurant and store at Lake Palestine Resort surrounded earlier today. The Villages is closed and I bet water is up in the parking lot at the Kickapoo ramp. I was planning to head out there myself but it may not happen for a few days.

That seems odd. The lake is only five inches above normal level and only four inches higher than it was a week ago before all the rain.
