What experience does anyone have with 2009 E-TEC 225? Has 250 hrs.

I don't have 2009, I have a 2008 ETEC 225, great motor, very quiet, great performance...no issues so far... of course I have done the 3 year maintenance..I think I have almost 400 hours now on this motor...only issue I have had has been to replace the tilt trim control relays...

Bought a 2006 ETEC 250 new and put over 100 hours on it in five months without any problems whatsoever. If well maintained wouldn't be afraid of 250 hours. Check the 300 hour service recommendations to see what's coming up soon.

I've got an 09' etec 250 and love it. Power head and lower unit both swapped out before I bought it and it has probably over 500 hours.its never not started on the first try and it's been 2 years.

I had an 05 225 ETEC, that I bought new, with well over 800 documented hours before it gave out. I had oil issue that the repair shop told me I had no way of knowing before I lost two cylinders. I was so impressed with ETEC, that I replaced with a new 250 ETEC and have zero issues with it. They are so quiet and easy on gas and oil. They both started on first crank. Did all maintenance the correct way. The only reason I went with the 250 is I have 20 1/2' BassCat Puma and I like the better hole shot and more speed of the 250.
FISHING NOW NOT WORKING ANYMORE

They all break or need maintained. Make sure you got a 'rude dealer near you...
