I guess I shouldn't call you out on this but no one always catches limits. There isn't one among us that hasn't got the skunk every now and then.

I guess I shouldn't call you out on this but no one always catches limits. There isn't one among us that hasn't got the skunk every now and then. Okay okay. You are so right. He limits a lot. He's been limiting every time he has gone here lately. He catches a lot of catfish on Lake Lavon and goes "almost" every week, one day per week, on Fridays because this is his day off, and he likes it, and he is good at it, and most trips he has a limit in less than one hour because he has a hole and he is on it before first light and the catfish are there, and Lavon is a really good lake for catfish, but you have to be there early because the bite is usually done an hour or so after first light, and he has it figured out, and his freezer is stuffed. I hope you feel better because I do. I shouldn't have said what I said and I sincerely apologize Brian. I hope this more clearly explains the success my buddy is having catching a lot of catfish on Lake Lavon.

Tawakoni is the best catfish lake in America...it is just an added benefit that it is close to DFW!

White Rock is good.
I'd like the figure out the Yellows "path" at Fork.
Tawak is great, hope the fishery is respected so it stays that way.
Don't worry about the mule, just load the cart

Tawakoni would get my vote. You never forget your first two man limit. Especially when it is done in under 3 hours.

Tawakoni, Cedar Creek, #1 #2 has been over a decade, not just in quantity but quality of fish from 3lb to over 50# blue catfish.
In a few years In a few years. ..
Cedar Creek, Ray Hubbard, Lavon......... dinks lakes Twak, RC and LL and Waco.
Why do I go fishing? To catch a box of fish and/or some quality time under the sun. Thank Heaven I never fail fishing in Texas, catching box fish or plenty of sunburn.

Twok is still the spot, even in a slow year. I pass cooper on the way there every time I get a day on the water. No problem with Cooper at all just a better chance to catch a fish of a lifetime or have the day of a lifetime when you put in on Twok. My top 10 days of fishing in life have come on that lake.
Why are we all here? Because we are not all there!

Keep an eye on Ray Hubbard, for years LTSA has been stocking hybrids and stripers fingerling in Twak in addition to TPWD's stocking, easy food source for blues... this is the second year RHSA is stocking RH with hybrid fingerling addition to TPWD stocking.

I havent fished a lot of the lakes but in my opinion Tawakoni is pretty much the best all around. Lake Fork is incredible as well for channels and flathead. My family used to take a trip to Fork once a years and spend a weekend running trotlines, jugs, and fishing from a dock on the NW side of the lake.
Between 6-10 of us over the course of 3 days we would catch about 300-400 channels and several flatheads from 30-50 pounds. The largest we got was 63#. Havent gone in several years though.
