With all this rain, I'm thinking about taking my son there so we can at least do some fishing while we're off on Spring Break. Any idea if crappie or anything else is biting? I'd like to try the marina in the state park, has anyone fished it recently?

The marina in the state park is closed due to flood damage. Lynn Creek Marina is open. The crappie are just beginning to come in. Some nice ones were caught before this last storm.

Oh, thank you very much! Was about to head out there, but will go to Lynn Creek instead now. I figure Thursday won't be a busy day especially with it raining, hopefully. Going to try minnows and cut shad and see if we have any luck. Appreciate the help!

Lynn Creek marina was okay. Heard the best fishing was from 6:30-8am. Tried cut shad and minnows. Caught 4 crappie on the minnows, only 1 keeper. Best spot is at the front, through the doors to the right. Must be some brush down there because I saw everyone trying to get that spot and one older gentleman pulled 6 up from there. Several keepers. Lots of older guys fish there all day, must be the regulars.
That's all I got, not much fish to be kept. Might have been the cloudy weather/rain.
