I was hoping Pines would stabilize soon but it has already gone back up over a foot with this rain. I expect it will go up another foot or two before this event is over. The poor fish must be as confused as I am. Has anyone had any luck lately?

Pines is up over three feet from Tuesday the 8th, now sitting at 236.40 at 6:45 am on 3/10/16. They are releasing 1109cfs, level has raised 1.39ft. in the last 24 hours. With Caddo projected to have record flooding I do not foresee them releasing anymore than they are currently. My guess is the gates will be closed more until Pines is near flood pool or Caddo is below flood pool. I was doing quite well on the pines prior to the rain. Water temp was above 60 degrees in places and males were moving up shallow, and females could be found staging at the original bank line(brush line).

It will b weeks before Caddo is down looks like. So flooded water has nowhere to go. I had been smashing them out there

This may ruin my plans for my BIL. He and a buddy are flying in from Massachusetts for four days in April and Caddo is on the list. I hope the rain slows down after this week.

I had planned to fish pines a lot next week over spring break. I'm sure I will go, but may try to fish some other lakes in the area to

Looks like Pines will be at around 8' high this weekend, where would the fish be found? You can't even get to the shallowest water because of the trees and brush that grew up at normal levels.

8' high, try the Cypress Trees, they like to suspend in them when it gets that high.
