I have noticed it dont rain underwater. JK

my theory. small amounts of rain change nothing. enough rain to change the water temperature or make it muddy does.

Can someone explain how the Feds count recreational Red Snapper catch?

First off...Welcome to the forum! welcome

Second off...yes you can; However...this amount of water is too much to overcome on crappie...go catch some catfish...which is what I will have to resort to unless I decide to work on cleaning the garage, or messing with trailers, etc...nah, just go catch some catfish, they will be active with this rain...

Left the boat in the garage due to lightning and walked the bank of a cove today. Jig with crappie nibble under a cork. Caught 5 bass up to two pounds. No crappie. Only fished an hour due to pouring rain, lightning, honey do list hanging over my head and lack of crappie bite. Those trash fish sure were hungry!

they tend to rise closer to the surface during light rain, they like that oxygenated water. yes they do bite !!!!

COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !

Let's see, fishing in a sheltered environment, such as a boat dock, I presume? LOL...maybe I need head over your way! Beating the creeks has produced squat...well, I can't say that...I have worked out some issues on my boat, rearranged some of my gear, re spooled to reels, tended to some honey dos, and basically been bored to tears...sigh

Best morning I've experienced at the Lake Leon dock was 38 and pouring rain. You couldn't hold your rod outside, it felt like you were getting a bite every few seconds.
