GV is the whipping boy of all the Metro lakes. I can see it being closed for months more if this keeps up.

From Genesis: "And God promised men that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the earth."

Then He made the earth round...and He laughed and laughed and laughed!

We were so close, too. All we needed was another two weeks of no rain and them letting water out.

The Katies Woods high water ramp was open last weekend but finding a place to park is a whole different issue. I didn't check out Dove Ramp or any other park on the south side. There was 1 ramp open near Murrell Park on the north side too.

Well old GV is back up a few feet. It caught most of the heavy rain run off from the west and North up to Krum and Denton Creek watershed. She will soon be 12ft or more over again.

Gvine water and runs almost to Bowie. It is pretty narrow but that area has caught a lot of rain.

I guess the valve on the flood gates must have stuck because the COE hasn't closed the gates yet. The whipping boy of the Fort Worth COE hasn't had to take its beating quite yet.
