Myself,Mike (USMC-GY) and Fred (Rionator) fished the Nueces River from 7am till 1pm. We boated around 75 White Bass. The last two hours was NON STOP ACTION! Most of the fish were released but we did keep a bunch for dinner. Fish were caught on Roadrunner Jigs with a Chartreuse/black jig attached. Chartreuse/white worked great the last two hours. One thing great about winter fishing is the targeting of other species during the slow time for the sunnies. After a day on the river we had a GREAT lunch at the El Tapatio Mexican Grill in beautiful down town Three Rivers. Fishing the Nueces River with friends. It just don't get any better! fish

Awesome day of fishing!!!!! You got the right idea chasing those white bass. I have been having the time of my life fly fishing for them in the Lake Somerville creeks. Catching them on my 4 weight fly rod is absolutely addicting. I can't get enough of it.

Awesome fishing guys. Love that White Bass action. If you are going to go back you better make it real soon. Once the trees start budding the bite will end. With all of this warm weather it will not be long.

Side note: How shallow was the water?

Nice fish guys. Was able to make it down twice and got on them both times. Boated over 50 fish each time. Chuck: Do you fish the Nueces any time during the spring, summer,or fall?
