A friend And I are going to try AH soon. Neither of us have ever fished it. We are asking for a little information to help us get started. Thanks for any help!

Good luck, That's a tough lake, Dirty water to the west Clear to the east (dam). Lake temp a week ago was 53. Still pretty cold.

They are still catching some quality Spots out there. Cover lots of water in Ince and Big Grape.

Spots are moving up in the clearer water against steep ledges and points in the first half of the creeks. Motor Oil Red fleck if its clear.

Last time I was there, 2ndary points and use medium diving CBs or hard jerkbaits. Hope this helps. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

On the Senko I would use watermelon/red or green pumpkin. Tip the tail with chart.spike it and I use a 3/64 oz. lunker city nail insert in the tail. fish

I used to fish that lake when I lived in Lubbock. Though some days were better than others the best way I found was finding the submerged trees in clear water in 5-12 FOW and throwing a weight less watermelon or watermelon/candy with a chartruse dipped tail sinko in the middle of them and letting it fall. If nothing hit it after 30-45 secs I reeled in and hit the next tree.
This is one of the best stretches I had luck with

Pm me if you need any more info. I fished the lake for years and haven't been back in 2-3 years but it's a Great Lake. Everything looks like there will be fish in it and that's not all ways the case but the weight less sinko seemed to produce every time with patience
