LOP and Murvaul are my stompin grounds, but wondering how these heavy rains over the next several days are gonna effect the bite!! Thinking ramps on LOP will be closed again here shortly. Bite at spillway has been few and far between. Off and on in trees shallow. Nothing to brag about though. Due to the water temp, thinking the spawn has yet to start.

What's y'alls opinions?

Murvaul seems to drain off pretty fast and I don't think I've ever seen the ramps closed.

I hope I'm wrong, but with the amount of rain we are getting here in Longview, I would expect Pines to rise 2' to 5'. The COE can't let a whole lot out due to the flooding below the spillway.

Poured 6" out of the gauge this morning. Expecting 5"to 8" today...this happened last year at spring break and we still did pretty good on murvall and Toledo. We split the week up between bass and crappie.I'll be off next week with the kids...Hope to find something to pull on the line.

The driving force and secret desire of every bass fisherman, is to one day be a crappie fisherman............Could it be that the good Lord just smilies and looks the other way when a fisherman tells a lie?

Anyone "shot the docks" on Murvaul? Seems like it would be pretty good venture.

I have during the summer but it's hard to find docks on Murvaul that have deep water under them. Now if this wind and lightning will let up, I'll beat the banks for them and shoot some shallow docks.
