let me give you my input, fork is a guide lake and Athens is the lake where the weekend warrior can go and catch 25 fish most days

Not anymore. Athens has become the most pressured lake in texas if you take size of lake into account vs. # of anglers.

You didn't know Chris? You're doing it wrong, you just drive your boat around on Athens, the fish jump in the boat there.

NOT. REALLY...... I live in Athens and fish it all the time & you just don't go out and catch 25 fish a day

I fished Athens back in the 70's and 80's it was the only place I could go and not see but maybe three are four boats all weekend. My how things have changed.

It is clear water and has Grass. Not many places like that left in the area
