What brings you the greatest success bank fishing for bass on windy days--lures, colors, retrieval speed--with current temperatures in early March? From Saturday on, my fish caught lockjaw...

They don't have lock jaw they probably weren't where you were. Largemouth will almost always go to the clearest water they find, and they don't like moving water either. Go to the areas that have structure in the more clear and calmer areas.

Plus #1. Would also use baits with Chartreuse colors in them! For me Chartreuse is usually a good color bait for cloudy-bad weather days. Just my two cents. 2cents

With the water temps still lower, try a drop shot rig with smaller baits. Find structure or depth changes (ledges, up/down slopes, holes). Usually gets me a few more fish when they lock up.

On windy days I break out the c rig. Use a 3/4 or 1oz weight, not too long of a leader, maybe 24 inches, and your favorite c rigging plastic - and just drag it. A lot of the time you can't feel the bite and the fish try to rip the rod out of your hands, its fun.

I also like a chatterbait/spinnerbait when its windy if you want something moving. Suquarebills as well if the cover will allow. Try to stay fairly shallow, in less than 8 fow.

Bass will get into moving water. I've caught them right in the current at spillways and water dishcharges. Bass will generally be in slower moving water though. But if they are feeding they will get in the current I can guarantee that. I have a spot I go where they get in the faster moving water. I was surprised to find them there because I always thought the same thing. But they will get in the current. But more often they are just outside the faster flow waiting on an easy meal to come to them. In faster moving water they will hold close to the bottom in my experience. 2cents
