I use a TFO MH for swim jigs and 4" swim baits. One rod for both application. I've heard it's better with a softer tip and they eat it more and a bunch of reasons. BUT I have no problem catching fish with my TFO now. Hackney was using "I believe a KVD rod on MLF" I use Duckett Ghost, Carbon Lites and TFO's are about what I spend on rods. So does a specialty rod make that big of a difference and up to $150?

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Confidence is way more important than rod brand. For what it's worth, I like to throw my swim jigs on braid & I use a Lightning Rod Shock ($49.00) for it's softer action with braid.

That's funny. My swimjig rod is a lightning rod. It's perfect. 6'6" medium with braid

2011 Skeeter Owner's Kistler for me, and it's been a workhorse.

Dobyns 734 or 735. The fury series are a steal and for moving baits they are sensitive enough. Cheers.
