Sunday I got to take my whole family out for a few hours which happens far to rarely. Many of you have met my oldest son Ty who is ate up with fishing since he caught his first fish at 2 1/2. He's also the one in my Sig pic although as you can see he's almost 6 now and has grown quite a bit. I also have a younger son named Eli who had yet to catch his first fish. Well... that's all better now as he caught his first fish Sunday afternoon. I had to make the cast and help w little but he reeled it in and held it up for the camera. Best part was before I even got it off the hook he said I wanna catch another one Daddy! Now I know a lot of kids start with bluegill or crappie or sand bass on live bait. Not my kids, Ty's first was on a finesse jig and Eli's first was on a wacky worm! Proud of both these kids and thrilled with their interest in fishing.

Today I went out looking around for some upcoming trips and had a good day with about 15 either sight fishing but most were on a wacky rigged watermelon red senko including the big one of the day which weighed in at just under 8lbs. I have caught a lot of fish on this bait when the bass are on beds. This rig catches some of those cruisers who aren't quite committed yet. Good luck out there.
