Hybrid , striper has bigger head and more pronounced stripes. I caught a few hybrids that had straight stripes but their heads and silvery flags shown whitebass characteristics...
These were all hybrids (except one 17.5" whitebass )

Why do I go fishing? To catch a box of fish and/or some quality time under the sun. Thank Heaven I never fail fishing in Texas, catching box fish or plenty of sunburn.

The top picture looks awfully like a striper but the stringer looks all like hybrids to me that "lean" towards Striper instead of the white bass. Hybrids are a cross so they can "lean" either way

That's a hybrid, Bruce, and a nice one. Probably one of those escapees from Cedar Creek or RC

Looks like a striper to me just so fat that it stretched the stripes like that

Also if that top dorsal fin was sticking up you can easily tell what it is

Yes sir its a Livingston dam fish. This is where TPWD collects their brood mature fish for hatchery by the use of electrocution. Usually I can tell right off the bat if its a hybrid or striper, but this fish is a little tricky to identified. Proves here on this thread. Some say's it's hybrid other's say's it's striper.

It's a broken-striped smallmouth great white shark.
