Saturday, March 5 is rated 10 on a scale of 10. It could not have been better. It was not hot or cold and the wind was nonexistent. The Spot Lock kept us on top of the fish and I rarely had to touch the remote. I fished with MarkC here on the TFF and had a blast. The dead sticking seems to be over and I am relieved since that method is my weakest fishing link. All of our fish came from points in 20-25 feet of water. 3/4 oz. slabs were what they preferred with a jig tied above. Most fish came on the jig early and then they switched to the slab with quite a few doubles. We practiced catch and release and I do not remember landing any fish under 10 inches. Yesterday was my best day since last Fall. Total for the day: 151. When are we going again, Mark?

Why do I go fishing? To catch a box of fish and/or some quality time under the sun. Thank Heaven I never fail fishing in Texas, catching box fish or plenty of sunburn.
