We are two weeks away now from the first kayak fishing event held by the newly established Heroes on the Water (HOW) Fort Hood, Texas chapter. By providing our vets guided trips, HOW helps them to unwind through the therapeutic qualities of fishing from kayaks. The Fort Hood chapter will hold their first event, The Spring Outing, on March 19, 2016 at Cedar Ridge Park on Lake Belton. Please help get the word out to any vets you may know in that area. Those wishing to attend should RSVP to ft.hoodtx@heroesonthewater.org. The cutoff date for RSVPs is one week before the event (Sat, March 5th). This is necessary to ensure enough resources are on hand for those attending. Those wishing to volunteer or donate to the new chapter can contact Greg Sterley at 440-376-3417 or Bert Rodriguez at 817-996-1041. ThanksBert

Very cool. We just hosted HOW on Siesta Lake in Quitman (private lake). Had about 20 guys and some families here for a relaxing day on the water. Fish were there, but they weren't hungry. Good times.
LET’S GO BRANDON!!!
