I enjoy your work and passion for that stretch of water-sunrise, in winter, before work is commendable.

Relaxing video, Ben. Is that entire video done with camera in hand or do you use something else?

I shoot the Canon PowerShot SX50 HS almost entirely hand-held (as I do most of my camera work).. anything extra camera-wise or gear-wise on these outings is a burden I don't care to bare anymore.

Most of the feedback I get is positive about the first person view and narration of the videos I shoot. I know what I like and don't like about much of the video shot in this new age and try my best to produce a beautiful reflection of the day in the outdoors.

This is about me telling a story or letting the video tell the story which isn't always what I intended or thought the moment was about..

Thanks for sharing.

I used to camp and compete in observed trials back in the early 70's in that area. I am a couple of hundred miles further away now but still love the creek and the videos.

Nice job !

A trip around Lake Somerville to check the status of the creeks after a significant wave of showers covering most of the state.

On March 10, 2016 starting at the dam and moving west up the south side of the lake, crossing over Jerdelle, McCain, Cedar, Nails to the upper west end and the Yegua, then back east down the north shore to check on Birch creek before returning home..

Awesome video, Ben! This is why it's so great to have a kayak.

I'd love to have a nickel for every fish that's come over the gunnel of that little blue kayak! thumb

Just one more cast!

Always love your videos. I wish I had known about them when I was still in Aggieland. Hope to drive my yak from San Antonio and fish with you in one of the group events you organize sometime.

Wishing I was in my kayak.

I'll bet I've got 100 times that nickel invested in every fish that has made the trip wink
