Good stuff. Someone always figures them out, be glad that you knew who it was and were able to chat with him about baits, areas etc.. Nothing worse than driving away from a butt kicking not having a clue how they caught them or where.

Ken -
For hypothetical purposes how would you have written your report if you have had a 10 and a 8 instead of two 2s? That would have given you about 39 and in the Top 10 to fish the third day. Just getting one of those fish would have been a decent money finish. I am really not sure how much a guy could have done differently in that tournament to bust a big one.
It is getting tougher and tougher on Rayburn to finish high without an 8+ pound fish.
Thanks for the report and see you on the water!

Sounds to me like you practiced good, fished good and everything. Just the bigger fish moved and you weren't able to find them. It happens, to everyone. Wouldn't let that bother you to much.

Thanks guys, Neal you are right and I know you were there as well. If one of the bush bites Wednesday or one of the ones I got when I checked during the derby had even been a heavy 3 it would have altered what I did and likely my outcome. I guess all you can do is process the information you get from your fishing and make the best decisions you can based on that data. Needless to say it's not easy when you see how many of the best anglers on earth couldn't catch a limit on Grand today as my experience up there is the fishing can really be unbelievable this time of year.
